What a great find, tucked away behind an almost nondescript door, it opens up into a rather magical place. The service was excellent, the food even better. We had Socanoff, The Big Bahn Mi & Roast Baby Spuds and loved every mouthful. Decent sized portions & most dishes can be made Vegan too. We will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone who likes great food!

This was a great brunch after 1,5 hours of yoga and was amazing! Food was very fresh and tasty! This is a very busy place with the menu changes all the time as it was put on the black board rather then on the fixed menu. Great selection of teas and coffees! They serve cakes or breakfast as well! Very industrial look with long tables which you could share with the other guest. It’s vegetarian place with a twist ... very tasty veggies and fruits ... will be visiting soon next time I visit Ashburton. This is a dogs friendly restaurant... with a great atmosphere and staff.. worth visiting for healthy meal

Delightful place, we had the sabiche which true to description was incredibly moreish and delicious! Fresh herbs and a lovely tahini sauce that meant gluten free bread (which is usually dry and inedible) was actually really tasty! Really friendly service, we hope to be back soon.

An absolutely delightful , and quirky cafe right in the middle of Ashburton . I'm so pleased I happened upon Rafikis this morning . Popped in for brunch , and an Arabic coffee, and chose the swiss potato rosti and spicy thai slaw . Both are GF . Most delicious meal I've eaten for a long time ( ever ? ) . Service was superb and the entire place had the sense of exotic about it ( buzzing with activity, conversation and happy diners ) . Friendly staff, delicious and perfectly cooked meal , and a promise to myself to return to Rafikis as soon as I can . Extra stars needed really but I couldn't fault it . The meal was perfect in every way .

Absolutely delightful. Lovely staff, wonderful atmosphere and the food was totally spot on. We had to wait for a table but that's a very good sign (great to see a business doing so well in these testing times) and it was very much worth it. It was my first time exploring Ashburton and it was wonderful. Can't wait to come back.

Met a friend for afternoon tea what a gem off the main road in Ashburton. Quirky, unique. The most yummy cakes, delightful teapot, cute sunny garden and friendly service. I’m coming back to sample the meals.

Inventive dishes with inspiration from both local ingredients and international flavors. Both dishes we had were great, bahn mi and savory pancake. Coffee and teas are great! (Flat whites so milk forward you can’t taste the coffee). Friendly service and very Devon vibes among patrons - casual, kids, and diners leaning into their leisure time. Highly recommend and I can’t wait to continue eating through their rotating menu.
